Many operators entering organics need advice and information to assist them in converting their operation, or a part of it, over to organic systems. While NASAA can advise on matters relating to compliance with Standards, our role as a certifier precludes us from giving detailed growing, technical or marketing advice because of the conflict of interest, which would arise.
Regional Organic Groups
There are a number of regional organic groupings that are often the first port of call for new operators. Contact a local group in your area and join up as a member to receive peer support, advice, and information on the practicalities of organic farming and production. More >>
Local Certified Operators
Get in contact with local producers and operators in your area. NASAA provides listings with contact details for organic operators across Australia, spanning the organic supply chain.
State Agricultural Departments
State Departments for Agriculture and Primary Industries may also be a useful point of contact for information. As Organics has moved toward greater acceptance as an agricultural practice, State Governments are increasingly funding roles dedicated to providing advice on organic practices, management and marketing. Private Consultants
Private consultants may also be engaged to provide specific advice in relation to organic management. NASAA provides a listing of a range of consultants and advisers within the broad field of organics as private providers of consultancy services. More >>
